Work is not a curse that God intended is some kind of punishment for Adam’s sin it is a gift a gift that was designed to
be a part of every man story. Don’t miss the importance of the gospel in your work perhaps you have a vision for a new idea at work or how you can do your work better or apply your talents differently or maybe even do a different job.
When our work doesn’t meet our expectations we can easily give it to disappointment bitterness and citizen materialism won’t satisfied but when a man embraces these essential it will provide him with more opportunities.
Broader influence and greater success in the workplace we’ve given you a biblical blueprint of work a gospel centered vision of work they give with no strings attached for the sole purpose of giving lights of a life my marriage my family I lost everything I love money I worship money a great danger happens when you put work at the center of your life because the real satisfaction is in images with the Creator work is too big it’s too important a part of life to settle.
Volume 4: A Man and His Work
Session 1 : Tension
Welcome men to Volume 4 of the 33 series in this volume we’re going to dive head-first into a huge part of every man’s Journey. It’s something that plays a dominant role in your life the lives of men around you and in the life of just about every man who’s ever lived. It’s something that probably is in your face day in and day out for some of us it’s a daily struggle for others it brings great satisfaction for all of us it creates tensions in life that we have to balance we’re talking about a man and his work.
Session 2 : Blueprint
In the last session we uncovered some of the tensions that many of us face at work some even on a daily basis. We talked about what we want out of work in some of the conventional ways we respond when work is not delivering to us what we expected from it. We also looked at some of the different historical eras of work and how they have created tensions you know all of us have faced some of those tensions at one time or another so what do we do with all this how can it shape how we think about our work how should we think about work well today we want to equip you with a god-inspired gospel-centered vision for your work we want to give you a blueprint from God’s word that will serve as a guide to help you live out new vision in your work life our work is bigger than just a job to be done we need to see work from God’s perspective
Session 3 : Courage
Guys we’re going to begin today by looking at Nehemiah’s story from the Old Testament and then we’ll follow that up with Paul’s story before we dive in let’s review what it means to create and cultivate in our work. It’s using our god-given time talents and resources to bring things into existence and develop order and manage them for the benefit of others and for the glory of God. As We Tell Nehemiah’s story we’re going to identify a number of takeaways that can help us as we seek to live out the second part of our Biblical blueprint by creating and cultivating.
Session 4 : Essentials
Men today we want to get real practical hopefully after the two past sessions you are thinking about how you can apply you Biblical Blueprint to your work.
Session 5 : Traps
Guys today we’re talking about the work rated traps that we need to be aware of and avoid these work traps can
rob us of our joy our influence and our integrity. They’ve caused disappointment and wed havoc in the lives of just too
many men and if we’re not aware of them and if we don’t steer clear of them they will derail us from our bigger and more satisfying vision of work. Now there are six work traps that we need to be aware of we’re going to take a close look at each one so let’s get started.
Session 6 : Catalyzers
Welcome to our last session we’ve covered a lot of ground in this volume. First and most importantly we’ve given you a Biblical blueprint of work a gospel centered vision of work then we laid out the 10 Essentials that can help you live out that blueprint. Finally in our last session we gave you some work-related traps to be aware of and avoid any one of them can derail us. Now what we want to do in this last session is provide you with some work catalyzers we call them that because to catalyze means to accelerate to expand to inspire and that’s what we want to do. In this session we want to give you some key insights that can help you maximize your work experience just like the essentials that we presented in session four.
